Cutting-Edge Design and Technology Improves Hybrid Workspace

The Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT) is a Northeast Florida full-service, international trade seaport established in 1963 to maintain and market Jacksonville’s port facilities. Parallel to its strategic plan to modernize through technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, JAXPORT envisioned a complete redesign to its communal executive spaces, upgrading the architecture, furniture, lighting, and IT capabilities.

Established as Northeast Florida’s premier Steelcase® dealer and leading commercial office designer, Perdue, A Suddath Company, worked with JAXPORT’s executive team to curate a hybrid aesthetic for their boardroom and adjacent conference room. In partnership with Phase Integration, a subsidiary of The Suddath Companies, Perdue provided a comprehensive solution integrated with advanced technology that allows JAXPORT to conduct business in a universally expansive hybrid workspace.

Perdue approached the design model through a collaborative discovery process to identify innovative elements that improve engagement and productivity, using 3D rendering to form a project concept. Through Perdue’s sister company, Phase Integration, JAXPORT received a workplace technology solution that streamlined connections with customers around the world. Featuring the latest technology designed around JAXPORT’s needs, the organization can easily connect to all the leading virtual meeting platforms to enhance the way they do business. The design featured Steelcase conference tables and gallery seating, including a power source, custom microphones, and audiovisual equipment storage.
