Jacksonville, FL – Perdue, a subsidiary of The Suddath Companies, won another NAIOP North Florida Design of the Year Award for engineering a modern workplace furniture landscape for JEA’s new downtown Jacksonville headquarters.
This is Perdue’s third Design of the Year win, previously receiving the honor in 2018 for designing the new headquarters for a healthcare information technology company, and in 2020 for Perdue’s newly renovated showroom located in downtown Jacksonville.
Perdue was recognized for its innovative design efforts at NAIOP’s 2023 Commercial Real Estate Development Association awards, displaying a preview of JEA’s new hybrid workplace design that enables employees to work from anywhere, connect virtually and find solace throughout the workday.
“As the Steelcase Premier Partner in North Florida, we are proud to offer both leading workplace products and insights-led designs to create inspiring, people-centered workplaces,” said Vince McCormack, President of Perdue. “Partnering with RS&H and The Ryan Companies made it easy to custom design a workplace solution centered around employee wellness and JEA’s low-cost, community-influenced initiatives for North Florida residents.”
“Much thought and effort were given to staying within budget and providing office solution selections to meet a variety of departmental needs and use of the workspaces,” said a JEA representative. “Perdue was flexible in accommodating schedule changes and following through on installations, condition, and quality.”
“The Perdue team did an outstanding job in meeting the challenges of the project’s ever-shifting landscape which included client revisions, supply chain issues, and construction delays affecting the delivery schedules,” said RS&H representative. “We were grateful to have an experienced and reliable team player in Perdue to ensure the success of the project.”
The new JEA headquarters opened early Spring 2023, hosts a third of the organization’s employees, and services the public’s utility needs.
